Hokkyokuro is a British comic artist and writer, living and working in France where she grew up. She is part of the LGBT+ community and wants to share work surrounding representation, not only for LGBT people, but regarding disabilities, races, and other under-represented areas.

In 2020, she graduated from De Montfort University (Leicester, U.K.) with a First in Creative Writing.
She went to pursue a career as a novelist, before combining her skills in writing with digital art to create comics.

She started a comic project in 2019 on Instagram, which was self-published as physical copies (first two seasons) in July 2020, and won the School of Humanities and Performing Arts: Creative Writing Publication Prize.
